Nourishing the Mother
Mothering can be an inspired journey to our most glittering, authentic, passionate, creative and connected selves. Through the mirror offered to us by our children, we are taken to every hurt, unmet need, and also every joy and excitement we’ve ever experienced. We want every woman and mother to give themselves and those around them the compassion, love and healing they so readily offer their children, but rarely allow themselves. Journey with us as we discuss the many layers of being a mother today, where we have come from and where we want to go. Learn tools to connect with yourself, offer compassion to those parts we’d rather deny and get back in love with yourself, motherhood and who you are as a feminine woman.

Following on from a listener’s email, we have an impromptu but revelatory conversation on the lived experience of resentment within our family systems. We explore deeply how mothers are ‘not allowed’ to have the complexities of humanity, according to the ‘perfect mother’ myth reinforced in patriarchal motherhood. In this episode we discuss:⁃ Understanding that we only know something, by knowing it’s opposite⁃ The Madonna myth⁃ Continuously measuring your mother against a self-created fantasy ideal⁃ The process that happens inside our brain of remylineating existing beliefs, which reinforces our emotional charges⁃ Understanding that we will resent them to the degree that we’re holding the fantasy ideal up on a pedestal⁃ Our neurochemical addictions to repeated family dynamics⁃ Our addiction to our current neurochemistry reinforced by our polarisations⁃ Rewiring our brain for change is hard⁃ Recognising that if you got what you wanted, there will be an equilibrating loss somewhere else⁃ Finding appreciation for your own complex family dynamics and loving the people who play the roles for youTo explore feminine embodiment, intimacy and relationship in Honey Club with Julie, visit https://julietenner.love/To explore conscious parenting and inspiring motherhood in Reimagining Motherhood with Bridget, visit https://www.bridgetwood.life/

What do you do when you find yourself in full-bodied longing for the thing you don’t have (like pregnancy, money, a great relationship…). We want you to let your desires fuel you, but beware when they engulf you, or send you into victimhood. This episode has four clear and easy steps to get yourself back to being a powerful manifestor. In this episode we discuss: - Resenting the world, and how to come back into appreciation - Victimhood as a normal, human, transient state, versus when it becomes your chronic story - Moving from lack and scarcity vibes and into abundant manifesto vibes - Lifting ourselves out of the pit of heaviness - When support is beautiful, and when it keeps you stuck in a lack story - Breaking the grasping ‘need’ to bring abundant states back - Seeing wider than the narrow lens of resentment - Comparison to everyone else - Subconscious motives that keep you stuck - Healthful soul-searching, but noticing when it turns to navel-gazing - Super-charging your worth, power and vitalityTo explore feminine embodiment, intimacy and relationship in Honey Club with Julie, visit https://julietenner.love/To explore conscious parenting and inspiring motherhood in Reimagining Motherhood with Bridget, visit https://www.bridgetwood.life/

Mothers often find themselves in the sandwich between beauty and pain, grief and gratitude; it’s hard sometimes to be moving forwards, but not quite ready to let go. Often what’s needed is attending to the grief that we’re experiencing in this transition phase. In this episode we discuss: ⁃ How to integrate grief into your own life ⁃ Grief around fertility and miscarriage ⁃ Grief around endings like leaving babyhood, toddlerhood and fertility years ⁃ Grief when life changes, like aging parents. ⁃ Allowing your experience ⁃ Ritualising your experience ⁃ Supporting your body to be with the intensity ⁃ Finding community where your grief can be held ⁃ Complex feelings of love and resentment ⁃ Not getting so nostalgic that you forget the shitshow ⁃ We’re not just grieving who/what we perceive we’ve lost, but grieving who we are in relationship to the world. To explore feminine embodiment, intimacy and relationship in Honey Club with Julie, visit https://julietenner.love/To explore conscious parenting and inspiring motherhood in Reimagining Motherhood with Bridget, visit https://www.bridgetwood.life/
